On my way home the other day, I ran into three lowered sporty German cars, all within a block of each other. Here is a first-generation Audi TT looking fine with a small drop on some performance rims. I’m glad to see that it’s a design loved by designers and architect and gearheads all at the same time.

hard to tell from these photos, but is this the rare o.g. TT that escaped the spoiler retrofit campaign? they looked so much cooler without them! too bad about the chin spoiler, which i’m not crazy about either. and the vanity plate. i mean, really?
wow, I honestly did not even notice that vanity plate. just…wow
also, I hate to burst your bubble, but the car actually has the little ducktail on the back, it just didn’t fit in any of the photos. Let’s just keep the dream that the car is unspoil(er)ed.
Actually, also, love the Fangio tunes, man – the Davey G. vid was awesome too
aw thanks man, been following your blog for ages and had no idea you knew who i was! really enjoy your photography and automotive meditations. keep up the good work!
as a MK1 TT enthusiast…i am thoroughly embarassed by this example of a badly modified TT—-however this is what happens when 2nd hand values dip below the $10k mark—-all sorts of weird concoctions start to appear!
