Is This Patina?

Patina usually comes in the form of the rust or cracks or sunbleached paint that typically represent a car growing older. The ’86 Celica I shot the other day didn’t have any of the rust or dents or fade that traditionally defines automotive patina. Somehow though, the paint had a very curious texture to it, like shallow sand at the water’s edge, just after a wave has receded. It might be unusual, but would you call this patina?
