It’s nice to have an inside/outside look at this late eighties GM commuter car like the one autofrei took at a 1977 Lincoln Continental Mark V some five miles downtown. Thanks to some color coordination and how much these cars were drawn up like they were trying to be time capsules, their interiors seem to match their exteriors. Which is cool. And I really like being able to see this clean Upper West Side late eighties Celebrity with this dented, busted up Downtown mid eighties Celebrity. What made one look so nice in 2011 while the other looks so worn? Is the few years’ difference in age a significant factor? The green car is a late-model, facelifted car, but is that enough to account for the difference in appearance? Is the location a significant factor? Maybe it’s just random. Still, it’s nice to dwell in these sweet little dreams.
