Oceanside BMW M5 supports Olympics, wants to murder birds

BMW released this video as part of its promotional tie-up with the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. For unknown reasons, the Bavarian automaker decided to honor the upcoming celebrations of human will and perseverance by attempting to kill some sea birds.

The setting for the video is Wales’ historic Pendine Sands, the site of many grueling, even deadly land-speed record attempts in the early 20th century. Rather than use the 560 horsepower of the M5 seen in this video to pay tribute to these past feats of engineering and athleticism with some high-speed runs of their own, BMW opted instead to go try and run over some seagulls. Full footage of the carnage can be seen after the jump.
