There’s my coworker in the Carrera 4S. He was supposed to turn right onto Central Park West, but he went straight instead. I chased him on foot and got a few good shots.
I’m not saying it isn’t worth it, but it’s hard to conceive that someone could or would pay $140k for this car when something costing half that (a quarter of that? less?) can easily command far more attention and admiration from onlookers (not that that’s the ultimate goal of car ownership). A new 911 Carrera (of whatever stripe) going down a potholed New York City road is about as prosaic as a Lincoln Town Car. Of course, I understand that that doesn’t stop this from being the perfect car for a certain type of buyer.
The killer app on this thing is the all blood red interior. Like, it’s as red as the inside of a particular 1980s Mercury Lynx I have fallen in love with. I’ll post a picture.
