It may have been one of the most boring cars on sale when it was new, but this ’66 Ford has become a stunner in the past few decades.
It’s been over two years since I last featured this particular Fairlane on a very early installment of Fascination of the Boring. It felt good to see it again, in almost the exact same parking spot, but with a bit more color than before.

I found out that a plus of working for Jalopnik means I can e-mail a guy like Ryan Tuerck and he will give me driving lessons. I just have to drive 250 miles to New Hampshire in a 40 year old car to do it.
Travis got to drive a house with a turbo V8. That five hundred thirty something horsepower hit the road on these wheels and the exhaust pipes out right next to them.
So I broke a spark plug on the rougher dirt roads of Fahnestock State Park, but…the Baja’s back!
